This game looks neat and I've been considering buying it, but it pretty much hinges on this important question: if I buy this game can I summon fuckloads of skeletons and pretend I'm a necromancer from Diablo 2 but with better graphics? I guess I'll invest in Witchfire to up the %Vit damage and. I'll keep going with Sigil for the time being, Arcanist is useful even without using AAR. I guess a Chaos-AAR build needs very specific items.

Even with full Ectoplasm augments, I can't sustain it. Update: got further through Act 1 Elite (got to 53), Sigil still defeats handily Aether Ray.ĪAR needs more skill points (16+1+12 and getting to 50 in Arcanist) and is an energy drain. That being said, I paired Demolitionist with Arcanist and was going to ask the thread here if they had any advice on working the Blackwater Cocktail into that build? Most of the stuff online seems to rely way heavier on the Arcanist abilities. I got to the warden in probably 1/4th of the time it had previously taken me on dudes with points spaced out between a few abilities. I just lob out a nuclear bomb every few seconds that burns half of the screen down. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong when I decided to respec one of my guys and dump all his skills into 1 ability (Blackwater Cocktail).
Twice I had rolled up characters and found the game too plodding and mobs to be HP sponges, especially the bosses. It would be nice to grab Possession and Blood of Dreeg but I don't know if the mastery point cost is worth it. Keeping actual points in Fire Strike to a minimum as well is strange, as I find the flat damage boost works quite well. He makes some interesting points, I had never thought of Static Strike being any good but I am clearly wrong.
I think it's pretty funny that he trashed the 2xDeviltongue build, even though that one cleared Ultimate on Hardcore going by the thread tags. I have cleared all the content on Ultimate with it and my gear is still pretty bad. I started out by looking at that guy's build but there is another build that I think is much better.
